PET Panels
PET material is a revolutionary, environmentally responsible insulation and substrate made from 100% non-woven polyester fiber. It is made from 60% post consumer content (recycled plastic beverage containers), and is, itself, 100% recyclable. PET material is semi-rigid and incredibly lightweight and it is unique in that it is impact resistant and tackable while retaining excellent acoustical properties for wall and ceiling applications. In addition, it is free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like formaldehyde. Further, PET is non-hygroscopic, anti microbial and anti-fungal PET material is available in 16 colors. ACOUSTICAL
PET material provides exceptional acoustical performance. It is ideal for use in the absorption of airborne noise. NRCs between .40 and .90 are obtainable with varying thicknesses and air space .
TACKABLE/PINNABLE
PET material is suited for use as a tackable/pinnable surface,it has excellent pin-holding characteristics and, unlike cork and wood fiberboard, will not break down or crumble over time.
HIGH IMPACT
PET material in 16 pcf and higher densities offers serious impact resistance. It wears extremely well and is ideally suited for high-traffic environments, including hallways and corridors. Extremely resilient and with great durability, PET material can be used as a wood flooring or carpet underlayment, reducing transmitted sound and providing desired comfort as a shock absorbent surface.
